Derby Kids’ Camp receives King’s Award for Voluntary Service

We’re thrilled to announce that our supported charity, Derby Kids’ Camp, has been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service – the highest honour given to local volunteer groups in the UK.
A special congratulations
This prestigious award recognises the outstanding work DKC has undertaken for children across Derby and Derbyshire – many of whom face significant challenges, including poverty, bereavement or difficulties with social interaction. It comes at a particularly poignant time, as DKC celebrates its 50th year of providing much-needed holiday breaks to young people.

Digital’s founder, Hannah Edwards, is a long-standing volunteer and trustee of Derby Kids’ Camp, and Chris Edwards – our content contributor, former Chairman and now President of DKC – has also dedicated many years to the charity. Together, we are incredibly proud of this achievement. Supporting DKC goes far beyond sponsorship for us; it reflects our core values of community, service and helping individuals to thrive.
