Social media marketing FAQs
It’s a big thing to trust an outside agency with managing your social media presence, so you need to be sure it’s the right fit. Here are some of the questions we get asked:
What industries or types of business has HeyYou! got experience of working with?
We primarily work with small and medium organisations based in the East Midlands, UK, although the scope of our clients’ work varies from local to international. The reason why we’ve kept our client base local is that it provides the opportunity to meet face-to-face for in-depth sessions or content creation, which we love! We’re open to working with clients from any industry. So far our previous clients have included B2B organisations in sectors such as security, distribution and professional services, as well as working with a number of local charities on B2C campaigns.
What are the specific metrics or KPIs HeyYou! focuses on when measuring the success of a campaign?
We’re a big believer in focusing on metrics that benefit the business in real life, rather than so-called ‘vanity’ metrics. So while we use metrics like follower growth and reactions as a leading indicator of future potential, we like to focus on higher-intent metrics like site visits, enquiries and – best of all – online sales to measure the success of a campaign.
We don’t use the same set of performance metrics for each client – part of our initial onboarding process includes getting to know your organisation, sales process and goals, and from here we’ll suggest and agree with you the best metrics to track for your campaign.
How does HeyYou! integrate social media efforts with other digital marketing strategies?
Getting your social media marketing in line with other strategies helps to deliver better brand messaging and get more results for your efforts and budget. We work across search and content marketing, so we can either work alongside your in-house team to align your social media strategy with these other marketing strategies – or we can support you with aligned marketing across other channels too. Most customers won’t buy the first time they see something from your brand, so aligning all these strategies helps to ensure the brand message and values are consistent across each touchpoint a customer comes across. This coherent messaging helps you to develop recognition, trust and reach your target audience more effectively.
How does HeyYou! determine the best platforms for a specific business?
It can be tempting to chase the latest trends, but this comes at a risk of wasting a lot of time and budget for lacklustre results. We’re into using data to guide decisions, and we strongly recommend that all clients start with a social media audit when they start working with us. During this process, we’ll dive into the details of what’s working for your brand, as well as taking a look at competitors and your wider industry to find trends and successes. This data helps to guide a decision on which platform(s) are the best fit for your business, and where your time and budget would be best invested.
